Here is Way Thatworks. Everyone has stored away food in the freezer only to be sadly disappointed when they pull it out to use and find that it is freezer burned beyond being good to use for anything.
You first step is to purchase Glad Press n Seal. This is the best thing that has hit the market for those of you out there that have not found that out as yet. Since I discovered this product, I do not allow my shelf to be empty of it. The uses are endless. Just google its uses and you will be amazed.
Spread out a sheet of the Press n Seal that is large enough an area you will need for what you want to freeze. I leave the roll attached till I fold it over the food. I then cut it off.
Here is a picture of the hamburger I want to freeze. I measure about a pound since that is the amount most recipes call for. I pat it down to make a thin paddy so it freezes quickly and also is quick to thaw out when I want to use it.
Next I fold the Press n Seal over and smooth out the air all around the meat. Since the Press n Seal seals to itself, the air is easy to press out.
I than fold the edges in to make a neat stackable package. I most generally purchase the bulk sizes of hamburger and so when I go to freeze it, I have 4 to 5 packages to freeze.
Here is what each package looks like.
Next I label and date the packages.
Ready for the freezer!
Finally I stuffed the finished packages into a repurposed empty bread bag and twist it closed. Since I have used this method to freezed my hamburger, I have not had to toss any out due to freezer burn. Let me hear how you use Press n Seal around the house.

I use it to cover my chemo port when I shower. Use it to wrap casts for showers as well.
