Valentines Day Special! This is an easy, cost effective, fun project that will make valentines day a little more special. This fabric plate pedestal stand is great to use for chocolates, cupcakes, cookies, and more. This project is perfect to enhance any holiday or special occasion. I just love adding small special touches to my table.
Materials:
Mod Podge
Sharpie
Scissor
Fabric
E6000
Candle stick
Plate Clear Glass
Lay your fabric out and place your plate on top. You will then use your sharpie to trace around the plate. This helps so when you cut your fabric it will fit your plate size perfectly.
Use your scissors to cut along the line that you had traced.
Once you have your fabric cut to size use your mod podge and brush it onto the entire bottom of the plate, then lay your fabric so it will attach to the plate with the use of the mod podge. You need to do another layer of mod podge once that fabric is stuck down on top the fabric to make sure fabric will not fray. Helps to just reinforces it.
Once the fabric is dried use your E 6000 to glue the candle stick where it will adhere to the plate
With the plate upside down, fabric side out center your candle stick and let the E 6000 dry
I used a heavy object to help hold the two together until it was fully dried.
You can also add a cake dome if you like. Makes it a bit more fancy.
This pedestal cake plate serving stand is done. Fill with your favorite treat. You can even use it for chocolates for Valentines day.
