Message boards are a big thing these days in home decor! These boards can be pricey though. But a message board napkin ring? Cheap! So brab some colorful scrapbook paper and all those toilet paper rolls you've saved for such a project to create a collection of easy DIY message board napkin rings to customize per occasion or holiday.
DIY message board napkin rings
Use the length of the cardboard tube to measure and cut colorful scrapbook paper. Glue the paper around the toilet paper roll, overlapping slightly at the back. Don't have TP rolls? Use paper towel rolls; just cut the rolls in half.
Cardboard tubes, fun paper and letters.
Gently press the letterboard letters onto the cardboard roll. Because of the little 'nubs' on the back of the letters, they will leave an indent in the paper. Use the tip of a sharp knife to poke a small hole through the tube and insert the letter. Do this for each letter of your message.
Insert letters into cardboard tubes.
Use letterboard letters to then send your table guests a message, like "Eat" or "Yum"! These are also cute on Christmas table with messages like "Ho Ho Ho". You can see my holiday napkin rings on my site. Need a way to re-purpose a tin can? Use a 28oz tin can to make a DIY Photo Tin Can Vase -- great for Mother's Day.
Festive DIY tablesetting!
