Cat Vs Oxygen Tubing

Well, HAPPY ME! I think that I just found the answer to my Devil Cat having a nosh on my Oxygen Tubing!

Having to use Oxygen 24/7 is a task all unto itself, BUT when you have a Cat or even a Dog (any pet really) this can become so much more than it should be.

Spraying him (pet) and the tubing with Vinegar, while a deterrent, did not work.

I was thinking, and thinking, AND THINKING of an item that I could coat or cover the Oxygen Tubing with, so that DC (Devil Cat) could not chew through. Any type of tape was not an option as I tried Duct Tape years ago on certain items and his little fangs would go right through, like a hot knife through butter.

Thinking that a Pool Noodle would possibly be an idea, of course, they are WAY TOO BIG, but, BUT... I had already purchased these adorable 'sponge type' hair rollers from the Dollar Tree. My hair is too short for rollers but they are like mini-mini-MINI pool noodles (seriously I could not pass them up!) and I knew that eventually I would find a craft project for which to use them!

I have sprayed them with Vinegar, and thus far, after two days DC has not bothered them. NOT to say that he won't in the future BUT.....Hoping this will work as I have spent WAY TOO MUCH $$$ on tubing and cannulas.

Attaching a picture and as you can see, it does not wrap well around the hanger I have at the top of my home oxygen unit, but it is COLORFUL!

I need to go back to my 50 foot tubing so that I can walk around my house (again) and sadly (SADLY) perform housekeeping duties (YUCK).

I have just purchased these at the Dollar Tree-Online (home delivery) so that I can cover my 50ft Tubing. Going store to store, these days is no longer an option for me. Some Dollar Tree's have them, some don't. The online ordering solves that problem for those of us who are crafters and can't 'hoof it' from store to store.

At least now, if DC tries to chew through, maybe, JUST MAYBE he will give up before he hits Tubing!

Thinking a little more on this, this could be an option for Pets that chew, electric cords: Computer, Modem, Lights, any cording!

I hope this helps someone else here. Let me know if you try it and if you have success!
This is DC (Devil Cat) Who I love with all my heart. He loves helping me with all of my Crafting Projects. He thinks he is the Supervisor!

While NOT PRETTY or WELL ORGANIZED, it is COLORFUL!
