Kitchen zone organizing will make all the difference in your life. But what exactly is kitchen zone organizing? It is breaking down your kitchen into work zones. Read more to see how this will make your day so much better.
Where does a person begin when organizing their kitchen.  I would suggest beginning with thinking about your kitchen in compartment or spaces according to the task that you do the most.  Here are the zones I have in my kitchen.
Step 1: Pick a zone to begin. We will start with the baking/cooking zone.
Step 2: Place your cooking/baking zone next to your oven. Store spices, cooking utensils, baking materials, pans, pots and so on. Basically, store any items that you will need for cooking and baking within a step or two from the oven.
Step 3: Organize your materials by shelves. Here is an example where the spices are on the bottom shelf, baking materials are on the middle and top shelf. It's good to use baskets and bowls to store smaller items in when organizing.
Step 4: Now let's focus on the cleaning zone. It's important to place your dishes and cups between your cooking and cleaning zone. That way they accessible to both areas easily. Also, store cleaning supplies in this area. If you have children or animals make sure to keep this cabinet secure.
Step 5: If you are a coffee lover place a coffee station near where you store your coffee and supplies. Because many items in the coffee area are also used in the baking area consider placing them close to each other for convenience.
Step 6: Now think about other stations or zones that will make your life easier. In our home, we have a breakfast station where we keep goods for making breakfasts like oatmeal and pancakes.
Step 7: Well, I hope this helps you think through your kitchen and what your daily tasks are.  When you decide to do some rearranging here is one last thought.  If you haven’t used an item in the last five years consider donating it to someone who may need it more than you.  It will free up more space in your kitchen and make like even less cluttered. In our small rental kitchen we only have 3 lower cabinets and 4 small shallow drawers. I have Spices in one drawer, cooking utensils in one drawer and holder on counter, foil and ziplock boxes in one drawer, dish clothes in one drawer. Dishes, glassware, silverware, and baking dishes are on exposed shelves on only wall space. Any suggestions for inexpensive pullout shelves and trays for pantry items, snacks, pet food supplies, pots and pans, lids metal bakeware, and Tupperware! I’m thinking the back of doors of cabinets might help. Or any ideas to improve overall plan. Hate bending down and digging. Cabinets are narrow and deep with no center shelf.
