How to make a lamp with a wood log? You may have wood logs available around you, or maybe a wood part too big to put in a fireplace… Make this amazing wood floor lamp as indoor or outdoor lighting!
This great tutorial will help you in all stages, however, some information, details may be missing, in this case, leave a comment or use your imagination to solve the problem ;) The guide is easier than it sounds, you just need some woodworking knowledge.
Locate the materials you need for this craft.
Cut the wood log into slices (2 cm minimum) with a wood saw.
Find the center of each log slice and make a hole with a drill, use the same diameter as the plexiglass tube.
Sand down the surface of each wood slice with sandpaper.
Put wood glue on the inside of each hole and let it dry for a day.
Put some wood sticks to get the desired space between wood slices.
Varnish each wood slice and let them dry, repeat the operation 2 to 3 times.
Cut the plexiglass tube (40 cm) and install the LED light strip inside, you can fix it with scotch tape.
Install wood slices one by one on the plexiglass tube and fix with wood glue.

    For the life of me I tried to locate your blog on how to make this. Everytime I click on the go tab it brings me to this site. https://www.idlights.com/ where is your lamp?

      Hit the go button; it will take you to the idlights page; type in "lamp with logs" in the search space and it will take you to his blog. It is unfortunate that the ability to access all the information is not there. Apparently that site has some issues.

    VERY cool! Why did you coat the inside of the holes with wood glue & let it dry? Is this to allow the plexi tube to slide in easier?

    I know there is a lot of leeway here, but for this specific piece - what is the thickness of the slices on top and bottom and the thickness of the slices in between? What is the spacing between slices?
