Scored on these planters for a space outside my new fence. They have very minor cracks which need repair. Plus, what do I use to seal the interior, for plants/shrubs to grow?
No need to seal the inside...a tip that I use for big planters like the one in the center....I put empty pop cans in the bottom under the dirt so that the pot is not so heavy and doesn't need as much dirt. Water will drain out through the hole in the bottom with the pop cans in there. I have even used clean tuna cans in the bottom of my small planters....not as much dirt needed and no so heavy. I do use the roller stands for under the bigger plants.
Gorilla glue! Use sparingly though. It foams right up and may go out the crack so be prepared to scrape off excess while it's wet with a wooden or plastic scraper. Don't get the glue on your hands.
Thank you Nancy and Pat for your suggestions. I like the idea of using empty bottles and /or cans at the bottom. I will be using bricks underneath so they all sit up off the ground. Now, to plan the thrillers, fillers and spillers!
