sand really well, then use a metal color Rustoleum spray paint. Good luck with the wedding :)
Lightly sand using steel wool, then spray paint with a metal spray paint (rustoleum makes a good one)
Hi Lana. You can use a wire brush to go over them. This will remove any loose paint. Then I would use a primer made for metal and prime. Then use a spray paint for metal. Good Luck!

In the picture. The two items looked like they were tarnished. Not looking like the candle holders that you are going to paint. You could try a cleaner and polish for silver on those.
I love that kind of Rustoleum. I like anything that works well and takes less time. Lol.
