I went through some of my junk in my shop and came across a wall decor piece I added to the junk pile a few months ago (I never throw anything away). I needed a new piece to fill a space on my fireplace mantle so decided to give it a new face ❤️❤️
I scrounged through my fabric stash looking for a piece of scrap that would match my color scheme and also add a pop of color and shabby chicness (is that a word😂😂). I found this piece and knew it would be perfect!
Pretty turquoise pattern
I removed the middle piece from the frame and cut the fabric to fit. I glued the fabric to the middle piece with Elmer’s Spray Adhesive and worked out all the kinks. I painted the outside frame with white chalk paint. After everything dried I put the piece back together but it was still missing something.

Paper Dollie
I found a paper dollie that I had stashed away. I then glued it to the center of the fabric using my Adhesive Spray.
I had a set of these craft keys that I purchased off of Amazon. I used the same chalk paint and painted a key. I then attached the key with hot glue to the center of the doilie.

Now I have a shabby chic fresh new look ❤️💕 and it took no time at all!
