I've seen one made with a small dresser. Add wheels and a top
We just made one for our rental house using two 18" base cabinets as the base and added casters to be able to move it around. The top can be anything you want it to be but you will have to add a piece of plywood to the bottom of the cabinets to help hold it together if you install the casters.
there are so many options A simple One might be a couple of rescued base cabinets. and a rescued table top. there are so many variables it’s a hard question to answer
make sure you don't make it too big. also, install wheels on it, if you want to be able to add space back in your kitchen, if you are having a party. if you want it to be permanent, you can, also, add plug ins. use good wood on the out side. you should be able to make the insides like you would a dresser drawer, then cover up the inside and make your shelves, if you want them. use pretty knobs on the doors. you can paint the outside, paper the outside, decoupage, anything you want. a fix a nice granite counter or another counter that matches your kitchen. hope this helps.
