Happened to me too! I used rubbing alcohol.

Water. My hubby used to use them when he was driving a semi and had to handle chaining loads to secure them down on the trailer. There wasn't always facilities available to wash his hands and he would use them to clean up as best as he could. They were always drying up on him and all he did was put in enough water from one of his water bottles to moisten them back up.

if they are dry, just add a little water.

Water :) They just dried out. Put a little in. Not too much that you dilute.

Try spritzing with water and putting the lid back on. Only the water evaporated.
