A cute/stylish laundry soap container. Maybe, you make your own soap or just want an easy way to dispense your soap into the washing machine.
First, I looked for a container that could hold a lot of dry laundry soap. I wanted to store my homemade soap in a convenient location and have an easy way to dispense the soap to the machine, and the container had to be pretty!  After searching for the right container, I finally found what I wanted at Bed, Bath and Beyond. One that didn't have a handle, so that a cute knob could be added and hold up to a drill bit. Finally, I found this one at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The container is a littler over one gallon and was a clear hard acrylic.
I took off the silver clamp part. Like I said, I wanted this to be easy, because who wants to clamp and unclamp a lid, not me. The clamp popped off quite easy and left no holes in the container. Then I took the seal off the container and spray painted the container and lid, with Valspar Frosted spray paint. After the container was dry, I replaced the rubber seal.
I was ready to decide where to put the knob on top of the lid.
Drill the hole with a bit the size of the bolt.
Thread the bolt/knob through the lid and place the washer and nut on the bolt.
I added a blackboard label that you can just pull off the adhesive back and placed on your container. The writing was done with the method of chalkboard transfer.  See how to do this here: https://www.shellknoblakegirl.com/chalkboard-transfer.html
The soap container is now located where I can easily add soap to the washing machine. I will have an additional post with how I make my laundry soap here on Hometalk and my blog. My soap costs only 4 cents per load.
