Scrape or sand off any glue still on the walls, skim coat with joint compound if the wall board surface got tore up, otherwise prime once or twice, and paint.
Hi Denise. I wipe the walls down with hot water. I add a little liquid fabric softener to it. Then once I am sure all of the glue is gone I wipe them down with just plain water. Good Luck!
I use hot water and vinegar with a sponge to remove any glue residue. Patch any imperfections. Prime and paint.
Good news! Vinyl is so much easier to remove than regular wallpaper. Steam or soak...Go for it.
