It looks like you are trying to cover the brick with all your accessories. have you thought of painting it a different color? Maybe a tone grey since your walls look as though they are grey.
A mirror and tv would look nice in the spot above the fire place. Something bright (like candles) would draw interest. Why not use your accent color?

She also had brick and wanted to change it; it turned out beautiful!! Definitely worth checking out! If you decide to do that type of look, you could make a larger built in/mantle shelf. I really like the idea of mounting the tv... Another style to consider is shiplap behind where you plan to have the tv up to the ceiling if you decide to do a gray fireplace.
Don't do it!! Your fireplace is stunning!! Great job.. you don't want to look like everyone else... love what you have done.
We drywalled ours love it now.. have a posting on how we did it here in hometalk then we did faux finish paint.
