If you are an owl lover, or know one, this is a simple sewing project that is sure to please. You won't believe how you can take some fabric scraps and turn them into an adorable pillow.
Be sure to watch our video tutorial for an overview of this project and visit our blog for helpful tips for success!
We've all got fabric scraps, right? Gather them up! You can coordinate colors. Maybe you have a grandchild that would love this. You could use his or her favorite color. You will also need some felt pieces for the face, beak, and eyes.
Download and print out the FREE pattern from our blog at Remodelaholic.com. Cut out the pieces of the pattern and the fabric.
Lay your pieces out to make sure they look how you want them to.
Using fabric glue, attach the pieces in layers, starting with the bottom layers. Make sure to let the glue completely dry.
Now, using a zig zag stitch, cover all your raw edges of fabric. You can see the blog article on how to add interest and character to the eyes.
Right sides together, sew the front and the back together, leaving space for turning.
Turn the pillow cover and stuff, then stitch close the opening. So cute!
