Here's the perfect handmade touch for Valentine's or just about anytime of the year - for many ways to use! An adorable heart shape duct tape pouch! It's so cute and oh so easy to make - with no sewing involved!

Begin by making a heart shape template by drawing a half of a heart shape on a folded 12"x12" piece of paper and cut out.
Open image and place on folded fabric with right sides together and cut out two heart shapes.
Using a craft knife, cut out strips of duct tape and place on the wrong side of fabric hearts, completely covering.
Trim off excess duct tape around hearts using scissors.
Cut one heart through the middle into two pieces.
Take a zipper and place on heart center edge with the zipper pull facing down. Begin stapling the length of the zipper on one side.
Take the other half of heart, fabric faced down, matching heart edge to the other side of zipper. Staple edge all the way, opening zipper to make it easier to staple, if necessary. Next, open heart (zipper in center) and place small strips of duct tape to hold zipper down on both sides.
Then, place a regular size strip of duct tape over the staples and length of the zipper. Repeat on other side of zipper, smoothing both sides out.
Cut off excess duct tape including the bottom zipper sticking out. Place right sides of the fabric together and staple hearts together at least 1/4" or more around. Don't staple too close to the edge (like I did) and add extra staples around the V area of the heart to secure. Be sure to open zipper half way in order to turn the finished heart inside out.
Once the heart is completely stapled together, cut small 2"-3" strips of duct tape to fold over, covering both sides of the staples. Make cuts in the tape, if necessary, to smooth over the edges and curves to cover all exposed staples.
Once all the edges and staples are covered, turn heart inside out and smooth fabric and edges. Add a decorative tassel to zipper pull.
Have fun filling with your favorite treats or items!
