What to use on stall dividers to stop the static cling?

At the university I work for remodeled the restrooms. The stall dividers and doors are made of black vinyl or plastic (not sure what they are made of) collects everything. I spray them down with my cleaner and wipe them down with paper towels or a lint free rag. If I don't wipe it down until dry it leaves spots. Would it do damage if I tried putting fabric softener and water on it? Or maybe wipe it with fabrics sheets after cleaning?

Try using a microfiber cloth. That helps get my doors spot free

Thank you Shoshana. I have tried the micro fiber cloths. They seem to create more static. I think it is the darn plastic.

I think putting some fabric softener in the water would help. That's what is used on rugs (a spray bottle with water and a little fabric softener mix) to keep them from static cling.

Use the fabric softener with some vinegar. The softener should help with the static and vinegar should prevent the spots. Fabric sheets saturated with vinegar would work too.
