Did you get an iconic Valentine's heart-shaped chocolate box this holiday? Forget about the chocolate; use that chocolate box to create a DIY 10-minute succulent Valentine's Day door hanger.
Chocolate box Valentine's heart wreath.
Ironically, I received this satin chocolate box without chocolate in it. Can you believe that?! It was a gift "bouquet" with all sorts of baby succulents in it from a local nursery. Once the plants were safely in the ground, I had this cute heart box to re-purpose.
Poke a hole through the chocolate box.
Use scissors to poke two holes at the top of the chocolate box. You will then thread a long ribbon through the holes. You will use this ribbon to hang the heart door hanger on a door or on a wall.
Use glue to secure top of heart box.
Should the chocolate box have any labels or decorations, remove them from top of heart box. Determine where on the bottom of the heart box you want to position the lid. Secure with hot glue.
Glue paper doilies on chocolate heart box.
Use paper lace doilies to decorate the chocolate box. Glue one large doily onto the front of the heart box and insert a second paper doily inside the box. At this point, insert faux succulents or flowers inside the box. You may need to secure them with more glue.
