Is there an easy way to clean the inside of the microwave?

I know there must be a quick fix to the begrudging task of scraping the inside of the microwave oven. Isn't there some liquid that you can put in there and all the crusty stuff will fall off?

I put vinegar & water in a large pyrex cup and microwave it on high until it boils. The moisture will loosen up the sticky stuff making it easy to wipe out with paper towels. Repeat is necessary. Best of luck.

I use the vinegar & water solution all the time. Works great. Best if you clean regularly so you don't have buildup. Otherwise, I normally just wipe inside with a sponge.

Place a microwave safe mug or cereal bowl filled with water in your microwave then microwave for 4 minutes, the steam from the water will soften the crusty food particles, wipe surface, then redo a second time if necessary. No cleaners, just water.

I use the boiled vinegar and water method, but then I learned to cover everything before putting it in the microwave like with a paper towel or buy a microwave dish with a lid on it. Paper towels save me loads of work when used as lids.

cut half a lemon in slices or just use 2T lemon juice, add to 1C water in small bowl, place in microwave on high for 2-3 min then wipe down inside. Repeat if necessary.

Watch your manufacturer owners manual what cleaning products is recommended to use and what they say not to use! Our microwave is a convection oven as well and the inside is all stainless steel. We have plastic covers designed to cover plates or bowls, etc. to keep food from splattering everywhere I highly recommend getting and using to save clean up time! Always clean up soon as something gets on the inside, don’t let it sit and build up over time! Much easier and quicker to clean right away! Many microwaves say not to use chemicals on the inside, so check before using anything other then steam from water boiling in the microwave! If you have a steamer that also works great! Avoid chemicals!

Put a cup of water in the micro and heat for about 2 minutes or boiling... the steam will loosen all the splatters... then just wipe it out.

I put a microwave safe bowl of vinegar & water, in the microwave until it’s boiling and just let it sit, not opening the microwave door for a few minutes, carefully remove the bowl & then just use a sponge to wipe it clean..spaghetti sauce, bacon grease, cheese, whatever it just wipes right off..no elbow grease either!
