What to do with feed bags

Our dogs' food come in those big plastic bags that look similar to plastic tarps. What to do with them? NO more tote bags, have tons of them already! This plastic while strong, does not weather very well. I'm drawing a blank for what to do with them. They don't work well as trash bags either & are hard to tie closed. Suggestions please.

I used one to mail a rag doll to my niece. Also, broken glasses or lightbulbs can be placed in the bag to safely dispose of them.

Use them to store blankets and bed spreads in. Fold the end closed as if your were wrapping a gift.

Or, if they can be sewn together you could cut them open and sew them together as you would fabric. Then follow these directions to make a dog or cat teepee.

The tepee is really cute but these bags do not hold up very well exposed to weather elements. Maybe I'll use some other material that will to make them. Thank you for this idea.

Turn them inside out first then clean them in a washing machine. Then store recyclables in them until you have enough to take the items where they need to go. This would be great for aluminum cans, rinsed or not, or for gallon plastic jugs, which take up so much room in a trash or recycle bin. Cardboard boxes that have been broken down but which also take up a lot of room Would fit in the bags.

You might also call some animal clinics and shelters. They would make good cage liners and probably other purposes, too. ☺️

I'll see if there's a local clinic who would have use for them. Using for recyclables doesn't work very well as wild neighborhood cats shred them trying to get to whatever is inside that has a food smell. & those items them go everywhere.

Maybe I'll call pet food companies about what to do with them --- recycle program??

They would make great insulation for an outside shed. You can put one underneath a baby blanket for outside, if the baby is small enough. It will keep the moisture off the blanket and baby. I used one to mail a pkg for last Christmas. It was tough and water proof and I didn't have to worry about the Post Office throwing it around.

No babies around & I don't mail pkgs but I will offer them on freecycle for someone who may have sheds to insulate. Thank you.

I just use them as trash bags. Keep them upright and they don't have to be tied closed.

Guess I'll make some phone calls about where to recycle if clinics don't need them.

I opened them so they were flat and used as a base to pour gravel on. Years later and still no weeds.

    Make it an indoor teepee.

Ok. Indoor. With as many of those bags as I have & continue to get, wonder if I could make & sell them perhaps on Pinterest or etsy, what do you think?? Would they sell ?
