I am looking for some ideas for draperies for my patio door...

My carpet is burgundy, my sofa set is burgundy leather and paint is cream colour?

Use drapes or verticals the same color as the cream wall

i would look for something cream background with just a hint of burgundy in it, this would also be a good place to add an accent colour....perhaps teal or grey

I also think you need some colour, teal/green or something stripy/ patterned, combining some of the colours plus a third. Make sure the drapes just just cover the corners of the window ie don’t obscure the light (without looking strange).

Like Thea, I'd choose something with three main colors: burgundy, a soft neutral color like beige or gray, and a third color. Perhaps you could pick up the third color from something else in the room, such as the wall decor or a vase, etc. I wouldn't rule out something with additional colors, as long as the burgundy stands out to draw it all together with your furnishings.

I would use a double rod system with a sheer cream curtain close to the window and use a combo color heavier curtain with tie backs on top

If I you sew I would make drapes and use sheers as suggested above. Make your drapes and pillows to match. My living room has 3 tan walls which matches the carpet and a burgundy accent wall. My sofa is a light sage green and I have 2 burgundy recliners. I was lucky and found beautiful toss pillows with both colors plus some pale yellow. What started my color palette was a framed picture of irises. Good luck!
