I replaced a kitchen faucet for my mom for her birthday. It was a lot easier than you'd think!
Before
Before you do anything else, turn off the water valve to the faucet, located just underneath the sink. Test the faucet to make sure the water is off.
Detach the water lines to the faucet from the source. (This may require a wrench.)
Unscrew the bolt at the base of the faucet.
Remove the old faucet.
Install the new faucet. (The new faucet should include installation instructions.)
Tighten the bolt underneath the the counter/sink that holds the faucet in place.
In may case, the water lines from the faucet to the source were too short, which required a trip to home depot for extenders.
Installed the extenders.
Be sure to use teflon tape to the threads of the water lines when attaching them to the water source. This will provide a tighter seal to prevent leaks.
Tighten the lines with a wrench, turn the water back on, and test the faucet.
