Cleaning Grout-Any suggestions as to what to sand with?

I need to clean the grout in my glass blocks. They are in the shower and are getting a bit of mold. I think I need to sand the grout a bit (it is pretty rough and wide). Any suggestions as to what to sand with? I will seal after sanded.
Thank you.

Clean the blocks and grout with bleach water; or baking soda, vinegar and water; or Scrubbing Bubbles with bleach. Then seal the grout with waterproof sealer applied with a 1/2” wide brush. If you start sanding, you may not stop. I like the ads for a battery powered grout scrubber, but a local tv channel showed it still took a lot of work and could loosen grout. ☺️

Bleach kills surface mold and is harmful to breath. Vinegar kills surface and deeper. Let it soak in and scrub with an old toothbrush. Don't miss a spot and really saturate the grout with it. Make sure you allow sufficient time like 48 hours for the grout to dry before you apply a sealer and I would advise more than one coat, or the moisture underneath the sealer can allow mold that is deep in the grout to regrow. Then you will have to start all over again. Grout scrubbers are nothing more than mechanical elbow grease.

This is how I do it: How to Clean Grout

    1. Remove surface dirt with hot water and a towel.
    2. Mix together ½ cup baking soda, ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide, 1 tsp dish soap.
    3. Spoon cleaning agents onto grout and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
    4. Scrub the grout lines with a brush. ...
    5. Wipe clean.
