Scotch guard is the best for that
I've used Scotchgard spray on my flags that I make out of fabric and hang outside. It works well.
Scotchgard.
Use Scotchgard or Kiwi rain and stain protector.
Nothing I’ve found beats Scotchguard. Spray to saturation the first time, then repeat every 2-3 months or after a deep soaking rain. ☺️
