How to Organize Those Playroom Toys!

We have one of those living room/playroom combinations. It can make it a little challenging to have a space that gives the kids easy access to their toys - but also - a relaxing spot for us to unwind at night after the kids are in bed. See how we do it!
We use cute baskets out on the floor to hold the large building blocks. Easy to clean up and keep out the way at the end of the day!
We have an open closet where we store fabric bins of toys in a cube storage unit.
We use another small one to store toys openly - easy for them to grab and play! But also easy to put away.
Our TV console holds....TOYS! You would never know it. One side holds art stuff and paper...
The other side holds kids dvds, puzzles and magnets.
Our fabric ottoman holds....GAMES AND PUZZLES! It lifts up to reveal a bunch of kid games and puzzles. But it lifts down to make a cozy a footrest.
Here's a good tip - throw out all the plastic cases for your DVDs. Store them in a CD case instead for a fraction of the space. The kids can easily flip through to choose a movie. And it makes storage a breeze!
