How to Remove Wallpaper

There are a couple ways to remove wallpaper. You can use a wall paper solvent or a steam. Here's a tutorial on both ways!
Removing wallpaper is time consuming. Some comes off easily, some takes some work and I've even come across a few rooms of wallpaper that wouldn't come off at all! If you need tips for repairing plaster and drywall, check out how here!
In tight areas, cut through the wallpaper with the edge of your scraper and spray on solvent. After it sets, find loose areas to pull. Recut and spray as needed.
A wallpaper steamer is highly recommended if you are removing wallpaper from several rooms or a large room. It's much quicker with a lot less scraping than solvent and a scraper.
If you don't have a ton of wallpaper to remove, use a wallpaper tiger and solvent. Roll the tiger over the wallpaper to create small holes that the solvent can penetrate. Allow the solvent to soak in for a few minutes and try removing the top layer of wallpaper. After only the backing is one, repray the solvent and scrape again. Super tutorial. I have had good luck using hot water and vinegar in a spray bottle. The object with using any solvent (vinegar, fabric softener, wallpaper solvent, etc.) is to keep the wallpaper wet and not to rush.
