Paint the table legs black to match other furniture..........Or buy long one with black legs..

First declutter by removing excess articles from the corner table, newspapers, magazines, etc. Look for different colored cushions which pick up the color of the wall and which help to brighten the seating area. Almost any color will go with your chesterfield.

I would replace the round coffee table with a rectangular one that can be used by everyone on the sofa and align with the sofa. I would then place the round table in the corner with a couple of comfy chairs as a reading nook or conversation area.

Declutter is #1. Too much happening in that corner. I agree with Joychevi that cushions with the color of the wall will make a huge difference. Love the leather couch.

First... paint the walls a nice cool color with gray tones... the current color is not quite the same tones as the floor... and it sort of clashes. Move the tall plant into the corner (or into another part of the room) and put a side table next to the couch with either a hanging light or a tall skinny lamp. The couch looks like it is a reclining one (??) so the area in front of it needs to stay clear, so The round coffee table is too small for the size of the couch... and looks like it functions primarily as a "catch all"...eliminating it from in front of the couch will eliminate a source for clutter.... move it to a corner with a pair of low backed, smaller scaled chairs to make a conversation/reading area. If you need a coffee type table for entertaining, get or make one with wheels that can tuck against the wall or move around for when people are over.. or find one that smaller storage ottomans can tuck under a consul table or against a wall (there are some that have a reversible top... one side wood and one side padded..mini coffee tables or as seating) Take the tall black chairs out... they really don't fit in the room.

Since you are showing only one view of the room... our ability to help is limited.

Coming from a live alone guy, I would get rid of that glass coffee table. And go with a dark brown, wooden coffee table, but a long one, I have a Dark Brown, Oval shape table in front of my couch. It measures 46 x 28 I would be absolutely lost without this table, it’s used for just about everything, Mainly though eating my dinner in front of the tv for football games, AN ABSOLUTE MUST. GOOD LUCK

What color is your couch...you did not mention it. I love your idea of a coffee table being longer and the oval shape is much easier to decorate around and takes up less space. However, she already has a brown couch so adding a dark brown table may not be a good idea.

Really paint the walls. Clear that table, remove those chairs, don't belong, look like bar chairs need color! ! A coffee table with storage but a round one two many square angles. How about lamps or something and another comfy chair. Good luck

The wall paint is to bold, and you have to figure out what style country, traditional,Asian etc.... The room seems to be a catch all, mail and stools from an island. The picture over the sofa if that’s your style I would paint that wall an accent red color then center the picture over the sofa but remember to lower it 10” about the back of the sofa. Then add a are rug in red tones, brown and tans and throw pillows in those colors. Add a long coffee table and a matching console table with draws to be placed at the center of the windows for all your mail clutter.

Just now, I Googled, "ideas decorating with a brown couch." I got hundreds and hundreds of options with many different styles, a wide variety of paint colors and accessories including furniture placement. Check out Pinterest too. Please check out this option. You can save the pictures/ideas you love but don't try to do it all at one time. When you're through, wait a few days then go back and look through what you saved. Delete the ones you do not like. Now you can look at your room and have a better idea of what you want. Take your time. At anytime you get tired or frustrated, lay it down and walk away and, if you don't, you'll make some wrong decisions. I learned this lesson the hard way, starting with crafts and painting furniture. Nothing worse than "do-overs!" LOL! I hope this info helps you in some way.

Yes it’s from Benjamin Moore or if you prefere sage green that also would complement your room And will also match that picture. If you find an Asian area rug in any of those color you can use that color from the rug from samples from any store and place on the rug to match it up then you can have it custom blended any where even if the sample belongs to another and at Walmart too, but use satin not flat or a gloss this way you can wipe it down if need be, and label the can for that livingroom wall for touchups. See below for the photos.

    youe welcome

Get a ble identical and attach above. Store papers neatly in boxes below. Now you can add boxed games/electronics below and have a table useful for the stools.

I like the table, and the idea of painting the legs black. I'd get rid of the bar stools from that room. They are nice, but not living room of family room furniture.

I suggest a different wall color, remember that Bittersweet color from the 60's. Visit a DIY store for color cards, pick out a few and see what works in your home. After your paint the walls, recover the pillows to match or enhance your décor. Put a large rectangle basket where the cardboard box is and place your mail/reading material in the basket, out of sight, but handy when you want to read. Place your green plant in the corner by the window, move the end table closer to the sofa, put basket in front of the end table. You can keep the photos on the end table but put them at various heights on plexi-glass risers, wood or small painted boxes, this way you create height but still have room to use the table for a beverage with coaster underneath. Remove the bar stools, I see no bar. Look for inexpensive chairs for seating at recycled furniture stores. Open your blinds and let the outside in. Add light filtering drapes, each side of the windows. Have DIY fun!

Oh, add wall art above the sofa, either a grouping or a large single piece.
