If it is wallpaper and not vinyl, the mold feeds on the paper so you may not be able to clean it away. Any liquid used to clean it will pass through the paper and soften the adhesive possibly causing the paper to separate from the wall. Sorry, but chances are you will need to replace the wallpaper. Depends on how much mold you need to remove. At this stage, you've got nothing to lose so I would recommend trying cleaning solutions recommended by Bill and Naomi.

Vinegar is an antibacterial and anti fungal agent. Mold and mildew are both fungus and the vinegar kills the spores, bleach will help with cleaning the mold off and lessening stains, but will not kill the spores like vinegar will. Retired nurse who took care of kids on ventilators in their homes for years. Vinegar soak was what kept hoses and other reusable equipment and supplies clean and all but sterile. Vinegar works!

Might have to remove, scrub to remove spores with bleach, then paint. Wear a mask and ventilate during the process
