Simple Napkin Decoupage on a Canvas

The art of decorating hard surfaces using paper images is known as de’coupage. The images are cut out,glued,varnished,sanded and waxed on surfaces that must be thoroughly prepared beforehand.I love the look of de’coupage on canvas with a napkin.This project is very simple to do,just use your imagination. You can add more on canvas or add less . You’ll know when you start.
Supplies you need.
1) canvas
2) acrylic paint
3) Brush
4) napkin with design
5) Glue
6) Varnish
7) Glitter (optional)
8) Embellishments (optional)

Instructions
1) Paint your canvas in white acrylic paint. Let dry.
2) Apply glue to the surface of canvas.
3) Get your napkin,remove layers of paper and apply on your canvas.


4) Smooth it out so there’s no wrinkles.
5) Apply glue on top of napkin design.
6) Let it dry well
7) Do some dabbing with brush and paint near motif to blend in with colours of napkin design. Let dry.
8) Apply varnish.


9) Add glitter if you like.I thought it would be too much.
10) I added some embellishments to canvas .
All done , hope you’ll have a go at doing this project. I had fun doing this.
