Are used coffee grounds beneficial added to a garden?

Trying to recycle some kitchen castoffs, and heard that used coffee grounds sprinkled in the garden soil are helpful for the plants.

Yes indeed...coffee grounds are helpful for plants. Just spread where you want around a certain plant(s).
yes they are. We’ve been making compost for the past couple years and we put coffee grounds, and egg shells and almost anything you may have had for breakfas.

Mom use to always dump hers around her Hydrangeas. Tomatoes like them too ♥ Starbucks used to give away bags of used grounds, they don't anymore :( Big Bummer!
When I was growing up, waaaaay before recycling my mother always "dumped" the coffee grinds out the side door into a small raised garden, which had the most beautiful flowers every year. I am not a scientist, so I don't know why this was beneficial; but I still do this in my patio garden...Seems to be working
