Lazy Susan Dividers Using One Office Supply

If your Lazy Susan is anything like mine, it’s a mess.
I can never find what I need without looking through everything.
I’ve priced dividers made specifically for Lazy Susans and they are really expensive so I came up with the solution using one office supply...
...the mighty clipboard. Well, four mighty clipboards. The clipboards I’m using are legal size (8.5” x 14”). I found them at Staples for $3 each. You can find regular size (8.5” x 11”) at the Dollar Store.
I began by measuring the width of my Lazy Susan which was 32”. That’s how I determined that I couldn’t use 8.5” x 11” clipboards, I needed legal size, 8.5” x 14”
On all four of the clipboards:
A-I removed the front clip
B-I bent the spring arms down using a needlenose pilers on both sides
C-then I cut the side of the front of the clip using a tin snips
D-I cut off the small piece that was remaining on both sides
E-then I cut the piece where the spring is attached on both sides
F-I hammered the four pieces that were sticking up
G-so that everything was flat and there were no sharp edges
A-Using two of the clipboards
B-I laid them so the holes of the clip were overlapping each other
C-I threaded a 4” cable/zip tie through the hole on either side
D-I snipped off the ends with a scissors
A-I took the other two clipboards
B-and bent the hole piece down using a pliers
C-so that it was even with the edge.
A- I set the first two clipboards on their edge
B-I placed one of the bent clipboards so the holes lined up with the other two. Then I ran a 4” cable/zip tie through the holes and attached them together
C-I placed the other bent clipboard to the opposite side. I ran another 4” cable/zip tie through the holes, attached it and snipped off the ends of the cable/zip ties.
D-I now had four dividers
I placed the four dividers into the cabinet.
Unfortunately, my lazy Susan is not removable. It also does not have a pole in the middle. If your Lazy Susan has a pole in the middle, you could attach the clipboards around the pole using a longer cable/zip tie.
Once they were in the cabinet, they were a little wobbly so I used Glue lines to attach them to the base of the Lazy Susan. I put one line on each end but if you want more stability, you could place more lines along the edges of each clipboard.
Now my Lazy Susan is organized and the items have their own space. No more rummaging around trying to find that one thing.

Did you plan out ahead of time how far apart to place the boards? It just looks like magic the way things line up! Half of the beauty is the organization inside it-all the orange bowls together, the rectangular plastic storage pieces stacked by size, etc. I've never worked with glue dots are they both strong and easily removed? I don't want a mess like trying to take off construction adhesive! Thanks for sharing!
