What are these?

I was given these with no explanation as to what they are or what they do. Could someone enlighten me as to their purpose?

    They look like casserole dish holders that you put the casserole dish in when you take it out of the oven. You could use them to hold anything by adding wood or something on the bottom to make them like trays if you don't have dishes that fit.

    The look like the holders or handles for casserole dishes.... you would use them to handle the dishes after they came out of the oven... and the rails on the bottom helped keep the hot dish off of the table or counter surface.

    They probably fit some of the old Fire King, Corning, or other Vintage glass oven ware.

    Do you have any oval pyrex dishes? Those looks similar to carriers for my white pyrex casserole dishes

    Could you put these up with pipe holder and use as hanging rack for closet or garage? I used an old chrome frame from table bottom for basement laundry room hang up.
