HOW TO MAKE AN EASY DIY WOODEN HEADBOARD

Recently, we have been working on making over our office/guest bedroom. And it's been going along well but I still felt the one wall needed something! Then I had a thought to make the bed look more like a daybed. Maybe a length wise headboard would do the trick?? Enter wood, stain, and varathane. Let me show you what I did to make a really simple wooden headboard to elevate a boring bed.
The wood (9.5 inch wide boards) came from Home Depot, where you can have the wood pre-cut to size (this is such a valuable step when you don't have the right tools at home, trust me). Stain the boards first and then finish off with a coat of varathane.
Make sure you let them fully dry and cure before bringing inside (and also make sure you complete the messy steps in a well ventilated area because this stuff is stinky!). Then it's time to assemble!!
Head on over to the full tutorial to read the next steps and see which stain and varathane I used (this rich colour is seriously my fave, you guys!). This project was really simple but completely changed the look of our guest bed, don't you think?
