We all need to store pens on the top of our desks and most of the time they’re cluttered in a cup with no real style. That’s totally fine, but when we thought of this idea, we thought it was the perfect solution to help make that cup of disorganized pens actually double as pretty desktop decor.

And not just any decor. Succulent decor! Now you can "hide" your desk pens in plain sight with this easy craft. And the best part? This project will take you less than 10 minutes total.
You'll need to grab your supplies to get started. Of course you'll need a bunch of pens and some faux succulents. Then to put it all together grab wire cutters, floral tape, masking tape, and scissors.
After cutting down the faux succulent, we attached it to the pen with masking tape.
Then we used floral ribbon to hide the masking tape. Be sure to wrap the floral tape all the way down the length of the pen.
And that's it...seriously it's that easy! Now you can use this pretty succulent pen and hide it in your vase of other succulent pens.

My mother did this when I was a kid, although did it a bit differently, which leads me to my question, have you tried taking a regular ball point pen and taking the top off it and slipping the tip of your flower or faux plant into there to make it look more “real” ?

  • How long does it last? Would you have to change then everyday?
