This is a fiber glass bottom of shower that's stained with rust or whatever makes that rusty color. I have tried baking soda/vinegar,J/J Erase, lots of suggestions on the DIY sites but so far nothing works.

Try bar keepers friends mixture of cream of tartar and lemon juice
  • Some say oven cleaner works. I have never tried it - hopefully they will specify which one/brand.

Try Super Iron Out Rust Stain Remover ( www.superironout.com) or, CLR Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover ( www.jelmar.com). Both are safe for fiberglass floors.
Test the cleaner in an inconspicuous place before you use it on a stain in a prominent place or apply it to the whole floor. “If there’s no change in the appearance of the surface — no change in the texture, no white powder — then the cleaner is compatible.
Rust removers contain powerful ingredients, so follow instructions precisely. Super Iron Out, for example, is to be left on for only 30 seconds before you rinse with water.

If that doesn't work, try this:

Lysol Professional Toilet Bowl Cleaner. Cover the stains with it and allow to sit for an hour or so. You may need to scrub a bit with a Scotch-Brite or similar type scrubber.

If it's a hard water stain:

Try Easy Off Fume Free oven cleaner on the shower floor. It's worked for others. Make sure it's EASY OFF and not another brand, they have different chemicals in them.

Once it's clean, use a car wax to coat the floor so it doesn't build up again. You can Google about that. A lot of people use it.

I've use oven clean on mine and it works GREAT - but VENTILATION is key and do NOT let it dry on the surface - difficult to remove after it dries.

Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner in the BLUE can. Spray it on and let it liqufy. May need some scrubbing. Wear rubber gloves. Rinse well. Works on enamel, porcelain, and fiberglass.

I just cleaned a similar stain using hydrogen peroxide and scrubbed with a non scratch kitchen sponge. Good luck.

I gave up, and painted mine white with marine spar paint. Made for boats, it is very durable.

Finally we purchased and used a Hurricane Spin Scrubber and it worked. I think we used Barkeepers Friend but it was the scrubbing that did it. Other strong cleaning solution would probably work.

Barkeepers Friend and a green, scrubby pad worked for us but it's a lot of scrubbing...

Definitely Barkeepers Friend. Put it on and let it sit for a couple of hours.

I have well water with lots of iron and it stains everything including my fiberglass shower walls and floors. The only thing that worked for me, and I tried everything imaginable, was "The Works" TOILET BOWL cleaner. The shower cleaner made by this brand does not work. The toilet bowl cleaner does with hardly any scrubbing. Just be careful not to spray it on faucets and hardware. It will dull them. Mix 1/3 The Works to 2/3 water in spray bottle. Ventilate room if you can. Let sit 20-30 minutes and rinse. Use a magic sponge to get any tough stains in cracks and crevices.

I have well water that will rust build up. There ate 2 cleaners thst work well for me:
" Bar Keepers Friend". Get surface wet, sprinkle on a generous among rub in, (I use a Johnny mop), let it sit for abut 10 minutes then scrub again and rinse. Works well, does not scratch surface.

The other cleaner is more natural.
In a large spray bottle fill1/2 full with white vinegar, 1/4 cup Realemon juice and top off with Dawn dish soap to finish filling whole bottle but not the neck.
Shake well then spray on surface. Let it sit for 30 minutes to and hour. Scrub lightly with "Johnny mop" and rinse. It may take a couple application but will come clean.

I have had hard water for over 30 years and these have worked well.

Baking soda and pure lemon juice! Make a paste. Rub it around with a sponge. Let it sit for a few minutes, rinse. Stubborn stains take a little elbow grease, but, I have used this mixture with great results!!
