Can i put curtains with silver grommets on an antique brass pole.

If you like the look of the different metals together you can do what you want! If you don't like the look, but like the pole, you can always spray paint it silver to make it blend more.

If the miss match bothers you, potentially you could spray paint the pole to match the grommets

I haven't actually bought the pole yet..I just don't know if chrome would look OK in the room. My walls and sofa are light grey and I have a large antique gold mirror on a white mantle. I suppose I could go with silver to match the grommets and perhaps put some silver candlesticks or something in the room

you can mix metal if that is what you like....there are no set rules for ones own style

I was going to say that it would work, but with the other colors in your room, I'd go with the chrome.

Thank you everyone...I think it would bother me because you might see the silver when curtains are drawn..so think I'll have to go with the chrome...just wondering now should i use crystal finials instead of chrome ball finials?
