Best way to display family portraits?

We have had a family tradition for the past 26 years to have an annual family portrait taken. What is a creative way to display them from the time our oldest was an infant to the current one with both sons and their new wives?

  • I'd definitely stagger them a large gallery wall, use same color of frames but vary the sizes of the prints. Some oval frames, some rectangular maybe a monogram of your surname within it here and there or a Heart to represent love? Research the gallery wall to get some further direction on possible layouts and compositions.

I would frame these all the same and display in a rather private place. Do them in chronological order. You want people to see and realize the changes over the years without getting confused about things (diff. frames, other items) that confuse the purpose of actually doing this so faithfully. Good luck!
