    Go with some Bermuda Grass

I live in Florida and have replaced lawn twice with St. Augustine, however with bugs and drought lost both. After some research I decided to try Zoysia plugs in the front yard. I will admit it is a slow grower but is resistant to our bugs. When we are in drought it turns brown but once it rains it is all green again.

We have a patch of zoysia ( far left upper area) its trouble free, thick we are going to look into expanding it further with plugs in the yard. It seems to be the most impenetrable to weeds which is our main trouble. You might inquire if its available at your local sod farm.
