Fix my shoe shelf?

I recently flipped our walk-in closet and my side now has a shoe shelf. Great for hubby’s shoes, but none of my shoes have heels (health issue). I need simple ideas so I can put all my shoes on this shelf. Help!!!
If the shelf is wood how about a piece of trim wood attached to the edge. If the shelves are not wood, but composite, use construction adhesive or caulk to hold the trim in place.
Is your existing storage a slanted shoe tray or is it from flat horizontally?
There are flat shelving units you can by if you can retop your current system
Otherwise I might suggest replacing it with a shoe cubby -I repurposed this storage cube from target it’s great for flats and sandals.
Remove the bar for the heel and place it at the edge of the shelf to hold the entire shoe in place.
It is just a hollow box. I'd remove it and put down stick on tiles rather than trying to match the carpet.. It'd be easier to clean that way.
Nail a strip across the front to hold them or make it level.
