They make nice decorative accents in laundry rooms. Or they could be repurposed for a doorstop. I would put some stick on felt on the bottom so it is not damage your door.

Use a flat black paint all over or Paint the sole of the iron like they gipsy Barge folk do. (Bright coloured flowers) Use as a Doorstop or Paper weight or ornament..........

We have two flat irons like yours on each side of our mantle. We didn't clean them up much. Just scrubbed off some of the old crud and dried them in the oven to make sure they were completely dry the applied a light coat of furniture wax.

We also have a sad iron like the one in Vimarhonor's photo. We didn't do anything to it and use it as a door stop.

  • Very darling home accent. I would use it as a doorstop or place it on a shelf in the kitchen or laundry room.

This would be cute in the utility room (I would put it right below my "drop you pants here lettering".

I just love that iron, I would use it for a doorstop or in the laundry room as a decoration on a shelf with a sign that says:icon
