What can I do with 12 railroad ties?

    They make wonderful supports to prevent earth erosion, rocks falling down, grass turf collapsing, etc. They can be pricey to buy new, so if you can't use them for any worthwhile project, sell them to someone who can put them to best use, and use the $towards another project of your own choice.

    not necessarily my first choice, but whoever owned our property before us stood them on end in a hole in the ground and filled in around them so they don’t fall over and mounted bird houses on top of them. They do hold up well as a post!

    You can line a pathway, or build a raised planter, make a low wall or boarder for a patio. I also used them to frame a concrete pad I poured as a base for a small fountain.

    Concrete in the ground at different heights to form a Sculpture Or Set in the ground in a circle as a feature Or LAY ON THE GROUND : North - South - East - West, then set one in between each of the first four. then

    set 2 in a line from circle, then set one each side of stem to form leaves. YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE A SUNFLOWER......... HAVE fUN ................OR Cut one in half and set in ground with one on top as garden seat. - Make table etc.............

    You won’t use 12 but, how about floating mantles or shelves? Also what you don’t use, sell! Lots of folks want these! ☺️

    Get rid of them or at least place them far away from your house! Years ago I used them to build a tiered herb garden and it attracted carpenter ants!
