I would wrap it with thick twine. You could also glue heavy cardboard behind it, cut it to fit the frame. The. You could glue sea shells, glass gems, or found items onto the cardboard. Perhaps add a clock face in the center.

How about filling it with concrete/cement, then painting it. Or plaster of Paris if you totally seal it for outdoors. Paint it different colors, or all the same.

i would cover it front and back with shrink wrap cellophane and a blow dryer. Alternate yellow and orange shrink wrap on the rays. Use an orange red in the the center. Then use the sun as a big sun catcher inside, on a porch, or outdoors. Best wishes ☺️

My skills are limited, but I think I could do shrink wrap. I do like the idea for the sun catcher.

This would make a wonderful sun catcher.

Here is a simple link in which you use poly beads and melt....

If you do this, please post a picture.

Thank you Dana for the link. I looked at the directions and I wonder how I could get around using the oven. I only have a toaster oven which she says it's okay to use, but the pieces is large and wont fit in the oven.

Have a piece of Glass or wood cut the size of the circle, copy a face you like onto it, then if wood, trace the face using a wood burner. If glass, trace using a dremel with a glass etching bit. Like one of these. It is a lot more easy than you would think.

I have a few things in mind, make Hypertufa wall placks, because it's lighter than concrete, I would make stepping Stones or remolde, a drive way, or a small place in my yard, as planter plates.

I would get some of that holographic mylar paper in the gift wrap area, spray glue the back of the wire piece and press down on the mylar. Then use a knife or scissors to remove excess.
