You need to use a mild solvent. An effective one to use in the bathroom is PineSol and water. After the floor is wet, let it set for 20-30 minutes before rinsing. Mop your floor every week so the sticky surface doesn’t trap more dirt and dust. Best wishes ☺️
Borax and water paste is a good combo to get the hair spray removed
I’ve read somewhere that the best way to get hairspray off of walls is to use a mixture of water and shampoo. Thats how you get it out of your hair after all. Probably use a couple drops off shampoo in a spraybottle full of water?
Try wiping it down with alcohol. That should do it. Alcohol is also great for rug spots.
I ran my own beauty shop for 30 years. Shampoo and water will work, but if a heavy build up I found the only thing that will cut through it is water with ammonia .
Cleaning vinegar will clean almost anything!!
Walmart sells a spray cleaner called Spray Power. It's cheap and works great. I just spray on a few section on my bathroom floor and let it soak for a minute or 2. Then clean as usual. I do rinse twice to make sure the cleaner is all removed. Didn't do this once and when my wet feet touched the floor after getting out of the shower, the floor became slippery. Forgot to mention I use maximum hold hair spray and it's very sticky on the floor and easily builds up (Aussie brand lol)
This stuff is awesome. I used to rent an apartment which I thought had cream or very light beige colored kitchen floors. My husband usually used a mop to clean. But I like the hands and knees method at least once a month. I sprayed and let soak like I mentioned earlier, then used a medium bristle handscrubber and magic eraser to scrub it. The floor was the type with little bitty holes in the pattern. After doing this I found out the floors were actually white! Couldn't believe it. Afterwards I wiped a coat of shiny sealer on it. Looked great and kept floors looking good till next deep clean.
