What would you do with this box?

Yesterday when I returned my shopping cart to the return place I saw this cardboard box another cart. I took it, immediately knowing what I would do with it. But what would you do? Would you have left it, kept it for future use, or known what you wanted to do immediately? It is about 1 inch deep.

Looks awfully nice for cardboard. But as cardboard its durability over the long haul has a rather grim outlook. So, it may not make a good shadow box. Too shallow to start your petunias. Sew? Might make a good organizer for sewing notions.

I would have grabbed it to, probably not with anything in mind, though. I am constantly 'collecting' items I find (even on the side of the road - old doors, table tops, etc) and just bring them home until inspiration strikes! What do you plan to do with it? I hope you post the project when you are done!

I would have returned it to customer service. It looks new from the pic and maybe someone forgot to put in their car. I have done that. If no one claimed it in a week maybe the storel would let you have it.

Hello! It looks perfect to spray paint the color of your choice and then hang. Insert items for display, whether bells, turtles, or nesting dolls! Enjoy!

Yes, my thought was to spray it with color and then glue various items to do with the sea; shells, etc and then hang it on my porch in the summertime but I probably won't do that as I have a nice wooden one with things glued in it. Just can't resist a potential project!

Take a sharpie, write 1-9 in the squares. Place the box in center of your kitchen table. Next, get two ping-pong balls mark one A and the other B. Stand on each side of the table facing each other. Bounce the balls once on the table then into the box as fast as you can. First one to get 21 wins.

Make a TIC-TAC-TOE game. Embroider or mark an X or O on each throwable piece. Have fun. As you get better at the game, stand further away to challenge yourself. Good game for kids, too.

Go with your gut-- take it if you want it. I would use it to organize the junk drawer.

have similar box, use to hold larger wood based rubber stamps on my craft table. Change according to my project, hold stamps nicely, can be seen easily and grabbed as needed.

At dollar tree in the kids toy section, there are a giant set of dice, buy two bags so you have four blocks..looks to be the same size that would sit in each square but paint the dice a solid color like white, and paint marker on your X's and O's for tic tac toe. Perfect board.
