How to Create an Elegant Silk Floral Arrangement

Flowers make a home happy! If you have always wanted to create a floral arrangement, but didn't know where to begin this post is for you! In my new video, I am going to show you step-by-step just how easy it is! Who knows? You may start your own silk floral business!
Before you begin making your silk floral arrangement, you need to decide the overall shape you want. For this arrangement, I wanted a large floral for a dining room table. The table is rectangular so having the floral flow out on the sides highlights and marries well with the shape of table.
Choosing Your Container
The taller the container, the taller the arrangement. This mercury glass container was just the right size, and would help to add to the overall elegance of the arrangement. You can find different floral containers at craft stores, pottery stores, and discount home decor stores.
Choosing Your Flowers
This is so important! Try choosing flowers that look real! Next, my rule of thumb is to choose three different size flowers ranging from large to small. Then I choose a few different "filler"s. This can be little berry fillers, greenery, or flowers that mimic Baby's Breath.
I chose hydrangeas for my largest flowers, and peonies for my medium size flowers.
The smallest flowers have a hint of green. The overall color of this floral is a creamy white, with a hint of green. This color scheme will go well with any decor added to the dining room.
