Suggestions for purple paint.

I have been living in the same place for 15 years. Renter. I finally had my carpet cleaned. After 15 years. I have a lot of stuff. Some of which will not be put back out. I am very eclectic. My place has been different for a long time. Well no worries, my brother died in August 2016. Not a great year. So I have permission to paint the walls whatever I want as long as I paint it white before I leave. My favorite color is purple. I am going to repurpose some items. Not the typical colors. Bright colors. I am trying to think of a way to get purple in the room. Here are some pictures. I would love to have a bright wall and a regular purple. My couch is purple and basically everything is going to look great! Thanks for your help in advance

Go for it! Paint the long wall purple and accent with a lavender on furniture and cream also throw pillows can set the tone

I agree with Ro! Have at it. My daughter was a purple fan too. When we repainted her room our painter thought we were crazy to let her do it but after he finished with white woodwork and doors he described it as the "best paint job" he had every done! Send finished results!

Why not wallpaper your feature wall with the purple in whatever shade you desire? By wallpapering, you will have an easier job of changing the wall back to white should you decide to move than trying to paint over such a dark bold color. That's being safe rather than sorry. If it should turn out to not be a well liked color choice, again, changing wallpaper may be an easier option. Just something to think about........

Jenny, see the beautiful bedroom you posted with the purple walls? Do you see how the entire room looks? Would you be able to create a room that looked similar to this if you used purple paint on the wall? I don't mean a bedroom but any kind of room. It takes a lot of skill to use such a strong color so that it looks striking, not discordant.

Glad to be able to at least let you know there are other options. I'm a huge fan of wallpaper. Can change feature walls easily whenever I get tired of color schemes. Go solid colors, small patterns, or go bold with whatever the heart desires.
