Hi. I'm not sure what tempera is used for. I've only worked with acrylic paints. I do a lot of wood projects, so acrylics work the best for me. However I want to try something new for gifts, like painting coffee mugs, wine glasses and even mirrors.

      Thank You,

      Dawn

There is paint specifically for glass. You can find it in an art store or online.

Cool! There is also stuff for etching that might be nice combined with paint on clear glass.

I‘m sure friends will be thrilled with their gifts!

Where is the glass (interior, exterior) and what are you hoping to accomplish by painting the glass?

Hi. I want to paint on things like coffee mugs, wine glasses and mirrors. I thought it would be fun to try something new, plus they would make great gifts if they turn out right.

      Thanks,

Shoshana, Thank you for your help.

I'm going to check out the link you gave to me. However knowing that acrylic enamel paints will work makes me a happy girl. Awesome!

      Thanks, Dawn

As for the coffee mugs, there is a particular kind of paint meant for use on dishes that will come into contact with food, and that can be safely washed without coming off.

Yes, I agree that they would make unique personal hand-made gifts.
