Yes, Yes YES!
Absolutely not.
No , mold can kill you. If it gets into your system heart failure is very possible. Even bleach will not do the trick...take this seriously my girlfriend died after flood damage in her home ten years after she had professionals soak up the water, but she did not pull out the carpet. You could pay to have a mold inspector, but I would remove the boards you can see the mold on. I was a realtor in CA. and homes had to be checked for mold to be sold, take this seriously please.
No, no, no mold kills. It is a silent killer, take this very seriously . Remove the plaster area where you have the mold and start over. You can have an inspector come to your to make sure you are safe.
Just so you all know. The area is open joists under the roof. No ceiling or coverings at all. There is only a small amount of mold.
If it is a small amount I would spray with vinegar and scrub with a brush. Vinegar does kill mold....bleach will not. Good luck with your project
I would recommend killing the mold first. Paint can be purchased with a mold and stain blocker + primer all-in one.
I have used on trusted metal window frames as well, 6 years ago on a bathroom window.
