Measure twice cut once...I’d try wood glue to secure the trim, may be some finishing nails to help anchor it. The panels on the hollow core doors is not very thick.
I agree with Dfm. Adhesive caulk/construction adhesive, like Liquid Nails, will hold it, but you'll want to hold the pieces in place with tape until the glue dries. So Measure. Measure again. Mark cut lines and remeasure before the blade comes down. Clean the door. Apply glue to molding. Attach to the door using tape to hold the pieces in place.
