Your question was cut-off, but black spots are nothing to ignore - could be mold.
Didn't get to read all of your question it was cut off. But sounds like the beginning of mold. Clean with vinegar that will kill the spores.
I would check in the attic to make sure you don't have a leak and the corners are down hill from the leak somewhere in the roof. That would need to be stopped and the ceiling dried before you can deal with the black spots.
Hello! Black mold is caustic and can cause sickness, particularly if one has respiratory issues. You can get rid of the mold by so applying bleach; however, it’s best to learn the source of the Mold.. There must be moisture somewhere that is causing it. Try to find out the source and correct the problem where it begins. Good luck!
Hi Colemangoldsberry,
If there was a leak in the roof, you probably have the mold on the inside of your walls. Try to check from an attic and follow it down with a flashlight. Even if you put new shingles on the roof, there could have been a leak underneath that has caused this. It's really important to find all of the mold so that it doesn't cause illness. I also recently read that bleach doesn't always kill mold, it takes out the color but a lot is left behind. Vinegar or a commercial product can be used as an alternative if you want to do it yourself, but I personally think you should hire someone to check all of this because it's too important for your health. Wishing you the best.
